Unomia is built at the intersection of two disciplines: practising law, and building enterprise software. Both founders bring the real thing.
Sabien Kneepkens
Sabien founded FAAZ advocatenkantoor in Bussum in 2016 and has practised family and inheritance law — and worked as a mediator — for over 18 years. FAAZ is also Unomia's first customer, which means product decisions at Unomia are shaped by someone who runs a Dutch law firm's day-to-day operations herself: intake, deadlines, client communication, and billing.
Grotius-specialised in inheritance law and affiliated with vFAS (family law specialists) and vPAN.

Peter van Andel
Peter leads Unomia's technology and product engineering full-time. His background spans IT and business consultancy, with deep experience implementing Odoo ERP — including for SoftBank Robotics — and large-scale asset-management and IoT platforms, among them IBM Maximo deployments for Schiphol and Fingrid, and the Port of Rotterdam's Smart Infra platform for autonomous shipping.
Holds a Chief Technology Officer certificate from MIT Professional Education (2025), alongside MIT certifications in Cloud & DevOps and Management of Technology.
